VATIAC (Integrated Technological Validator of Accelerator Systems)
The Center for Technological Development and Innovation (CDTI) has awarded the UTE HACES-DONES consortium, composed of EDAIR TECHNOLOGIES S.L., ANTEC MAGNETS, S.L.U., SUPRASYS, S.L., COMMTIA SYSTEMS S.A., HI-IBERIA INGENIERIA Y PROYECTOS S.L., and EMPRESARIOS AGRUPADOS INTERNACIONAL, S.A., the lot 1 of the Pre-commercial Public Procurement (CPP) contract for R&D services to develop innovative solutions in the field of validation of systems and materials in fusion energy (DONES), for an amount of €26,255,000. This contract, named VATIAC (Integrated Technological Validator of Accelerator Systems), and led by EAI, aims to validate high-intensity hadron accelerator systems for the IFMIF-DONES project (International Fusion Materials Irradiation Facility – DEMO-Oriented Neutron Source).

- Coordination and management of the high-power radiofrequency amplification system.
- Design and manufacturing of a prototype of the power RF system (RFPS) for VATIAC, which includes:
- RF amplification stations for a cryomodule with superconducting cavities
- RF amplification stations for the MEBT
Contract is co-financed by CDTI and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) 2021-2027
